The Photo Archive

The photo-archive contains over 40.000 photographic records, mostly in an 18x24 cm format. All are catalogued by author and are accompanied by appropriate technical and historical data. The nucleus of the photo-archive originated with the Ojetti collection. Subsequent additions of special importance include contributions from the photo-archives of Enrico Somarč, the Gino Barsotti studio in Florence (Tuscan school), Alfonso Di Gennaro (Neapolitan school), Francesco Pospisil (Venetian school) and the Societą di Belle Arti s.r.l. The archive also contains images of particular significance originally belonging to the Bertolini, Bertini, Dalbono and Signorini-Vitali collections.
